FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about consultations, process and your rights.
How do I book a consultation?
Send a message on WhatsApp, call, or use the consultation form. Share a short outline of your matter and your preferred date. You will be contacted to confirm a time.
Can the consultation be online?
Yes. When you request a consultation you can choose in person at the chamber, a video call or a phone call.
What should I bring to the first meeting?
Any notice, FIR, court order or summons you have received; the main documents (agreements, title papers, invoices, chats or emails); and a short timeline of events with dates. Originals can be shown at the meeting — copies are enough to start.
Does contacting you through the website make you my advocate?
No. Visiting the website, filling in a form or sending a message does not create an advocate–client relationship. That begins only when the advocate agrees to take up your matter.
Is what I share kept confidential?
Yes. Communications with your advocate are protected by professional confidentiality under s.132 of the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023. Even so, please share only a brief outline through the website and send detailed documents after a consultation is fixed.
My offence was before 1 July 2024 — does the IPC or the BNS apply?
As a general rule, the law in force on the date of the offence applies, so offences committed before 1 July 2024 are generally governed by the IPC. Proceedings pending on that date continue under the CrPC. Use the IPC → BNS converter to find corresponding sections.
How is my personal data protected?
Form submissions are encrypted, used only to respond to you, never sold or used for marketing, and deleted automatically if you do not engage us. You can withdraw consent or ask for erasure anytime on the data rights page. See the privacy policy.
Which courts do you appear in?
Primarily the Punjab & Haryana High Court and the District Courts at Chandigarh, along with consumer commissions, RERA and tax authorities. Contact us to discuss matters elsewhere.
